FSM’s POWER IN THE WORD WED. NIGHT BIBLE STUDY W/PASTOR FOSTER 9/9/26

Name: FSM’s POWER IN THE WORD WED. NIGHT BIBLE STUDY W/PASTOR FOSTER 9/9/26
Start: 2026-09-09
End: 2026-09-09

◊ What is Restoration? ● To return to a person a specific thing which he has been lost or taken from them and unjustly detained

◊ What does restore mean Spiritually? ● It’s the promise that no matter how far we have fallen, no matter how broken we feel, we can be made whole again. ● It means that we can turn our adversities into lessons, our failures into stepping stones, and our despair into hope

◊ Four foundational truths about restoration from the Bible:

Restoration can happen in our physical bodies * Jer. 30:17 ● Restoration can happen in our Spirits * Psalm 51:12
Restoration can happen in our circumstances/surroundings * Job 40:10
Restoration will always be visible on the outside, but it begins on the inside * 2nd Corinthians 5:17

◊ What are some steps to Biblical Restoration?

Self-Examination: Take time to assess your life honestly and recognize where things went wrong.
Repentance and Brokenness: Confess your sins, take responsibility for your actions, and adopt a humble, contrite heart before GOD.
Seeking God and His Word: Spend time in prayer and read scripture to align your mind and actions with GOD’S will and wisdom.
Obedience and Making Amends: Walk in obedience to GOD’S commands and seek to repair broken relationships with a spirit of gentleness.
Receiving GOD’S Grace: Trust in GOD’S mercy and accept His complete forgiveness to move forward into a renewed purpose.

◊ What are the four “R’s” to Restoration?

● Replace

Renew
Revive
Return * Replace – GOD replaces our hearts of stone with hearts of flesh. * Renew – By focusing on the Bible, our minds can be continually renewed. * Revive – Through the resurrection of Jesus, we are given new, everlasting life. * Return – GOD’S is true to His word.

Restoration of Life: Psalm 71:20 and 1 Peter 5:10 assure us that despite our troubles, God will restore our lives, making us strong, firm, and steadfast.

Restoration of Everything: Acts 3:21 speaks of a time when Jesus will restore everything, fulfilling the promises made through the prophets.

Restoration of Fortunes: This Old Testament phrase isn’t about wealth but about a fullness of life, safety, and experiencing the richness of GOD.

Discussion Questions: “RESTORATION”

1. “What if God is trying to restore something in you that you’ve already given up on?”
What area of your life—your faith, relationships, purpose, peace, confidence, or something else—have you stopped believing could ever be restored? Why is it difficult to trust God with that area?

2. “Can God restore you without changing what’s around you?”
The Bible teaches that restoration often begins on the inside before it becomes visible on the outside. What is something God may need to change in you before He changes the situation around you?

3. “Which ‘R’ do you need most right now: Replace, Renew, Revive, or Return?”
Why did you choose that one? And what would it look like in your everyday life if God truly restored that area?
